Membership

Membership offers access to all our life safety services along with a network of fire prevention experts ready and willing to assist you in providing effective community risk reduction practices.

Fire Department Membership: $100

Every fire protection district, municipality, or privately owned fire department, whose business is fire suppression, protection, or life safety, complying with By-Laws of the IFIA is eligible for Active Membership (includes all village employees).

Associate Membership:  $150

Every person, partnership, corporation, private company, or association interested in fire safety and complying with the By-Laws of the IFIA is eligible for Associate Membership. 

Individual Membership: $100 

Individuals in fire suppression, protection, or life safety gain access to IFIA training, certifications, legislative updates, and a statewide network of fire prevention professionals.

Retired/Honorary Inspector Membership: $50

Pursuant to IFIA policy 06-05, the annual dues rate for retired or disabled Fire Inspectors shall be 50% of the annual rate. If you are retired or disabled, remit only $50.00 and identify the name of the Fire Department from which you are retired or disabled.
